The first pump through tool ever developed was the Formation Evaluation Tool released by Crocker Research. It was soon after this that competitors were striving to meet this new industry standard with Schlumberger's release of the MDT, Baker Atlas's release of the RCI and Halliburton's release of the RDT. To date Crocker Research's innovative research and development team are continuing efforts in setting standards in the formation evaluation industry.
With over 18 years experience in the research and development field Crocker Research engineers have developed a wealth of experience in designing, testing and manufacturing of high temperature electronics. Provisions such as an adjustable high temperature oven custom built for testing the FET ensures that all electronics will operate at 150°C. Crocker Research offer a full design, testing, manufacturing and repair for all ambient and high temperature electronics.
Crocker Research developed the density, resistivity and conductivity sensors equipped in the FET. It is the precision and accuracy of these sensors in conjunction with the two Quartz Pressure Gauges that allows the FET to accurately evaluate the formation and reservoir. All corresponding electronic controller cards for these sensors have been designed and proven to operate down-hole at 150°C.
Crocker Research is offering the sale of these sensors and for availability and further details contact us.
Efforts are being made into the development of Windows OS software which will enable operation of the FET, monitoring and recording of sensors and plotting of logs obtains by the FET.
